"Eprep Services are by far the best product photographic studio on the west coast. The team is comprised of seasoned veterans. Their photography skills and equipment are A1. Photoshop skills are killer. Being in the marketing and advertising business since 1972, I can highly recommend Eric and his team.”—Bradley Mansfield, Senior Marketing Manager for Gold Medal Wine Club
Gold Medal Wine Club is the top rated and largest wine club in America!
They specialize in small-production, hard-to-find, award-winning wines from California's best small wineries.
The skilled crew at ePrep Services photographs all their wine bottles for use in print and web.
Wine bottle photography is a specialty of ours here at ePrep Services. The challenges are as varied as there are different shapes of wine bottles, glass colors, densities of whites thru rose to the darkest of reds. All of these factors are combined with the infinite differentiation in the labels themselves. There are white labels, black labels, foil stamped metallic labels, clear labels…you name it! Wine bottles are some of the hardest things to light and photograph well because of all this variation in surfaces. You have both a matte diffuse surface and the shiniest mirror specular surfaces all in one shot! They require multiple lighting setups and a sensitivity to the wine maker's desires for how they want their product portrayed.
Beer is similar, especially when we are asked to show "the pour" :)
Here at ePrep Services, we have been doing this for so long that we actually enjoy the challenges and love to problem solve these types of shots. And its a good thing too, because we typically receive more than 50 bottle shots per month in our studio for all the local wine makers and beer crafters, large and small!
At the end of this shoot, we were told we must all try the product and report back. Our report was "we love it!"
The shoot was a huge success, as you can see!
